The opening activity was the Tarsia, followed by a game of top trumps. Students then made their own top trump cards using expressions they had discovered.
The closing activities have come from TES (I think). They are not my own but are freely available on the internet.
I have put them in the order I used them, it is fairly obvious which is the lower/ mid and higher ability resource.
The Minecraft Top Trumps have ended up with some angry bird pictures in them. Please feel free to adjust as you need.
